Lesson Eight: Fun With Numbers (Part Three)

I know it can be difficult to have fun while learning numbers but do not fear as we are almost to the home stretch with the basic numbers you need to know. However, you can look at it this way that at least there are easy to practice anywhere you go, all you have to do is count.

Well you are probably getting a little impatient with my ramblings so let us get this lesson underway.

(Chi1)

(Ba1)

(Jiu3)

Well as you already know the numbers I am sure, but here is the translation anyway.
(Is number 7) ( Is number 8) (Is number 9)

Well see these are not so bad. At least these characters are easy to remember and write if you did indeed choose to practice writing along with the pronunciation. The goal with this blog has always been to keep the learning to a acceptable level each day so you do not find yourself drowning in your studies, as you know we all have lives and cannot devote 100% of our day to studies.

After all I now only learning three characters each day can seem like a small number. However, if you really look at it you could have learned 540 Chinese characters in just six-months of studying
everyday.

It is not just learning the characters though, you also need to learn how to use them in a sentence which is just as equally important.

After we finish our “Fun With Numbers” series of learning I will be writing a few post on using those numbers you have learned in sentences to aid in your usage.

See you next on Zhongwen Study
