Lesson Eleven: Where Are You From? (Part One)

Everyone got their thinking caps on, because it is time to study Chinese (中文) again so get excited.

Well I suppose you don't need to be too excited or you won't be able to sit in front of your computer to study, although I do find jogging while reciting the words I am trying to memorize in my head does help.

Let us on cover the pages of the Chinese Language today.

Jenny: 我從英國的倫敦來，你呢?    Wo3  Cong2  Ying1 Guo2   De5  Lun2  Dun1  Lai2,   Ni3  Ne5.

Bob: 我從美國的芝加哥來。Wo3  Cong2  Mei3  Guo2  De5  Zhi1  Jia1  Ge1 Lai2.

Wow that is a lot to take in there. So many new words to learn but don't be discouraged we will be breaking this down into two lessons to make it easier.

Well let us start with what Jenny said.

我 (I) 從 ( Cong2 ) ( it means from ) 英國 ( Ying1  Guo2 ) ( together these characters mean England ).
